** Graffiti on the Rise – Here’s a report from CBS-2 News on how graffiti in several communities around NYC have gone back to the bad old days of the 70s and the 80s. We saw reports of this in the media last year, so it’s not exactly old news. The WRBA has been fighting graffiti for years – not just in words, in deeds, out on the streets, cleaning up (see herehere and here for examples). Spring is only 88 days away! Start thinking now about joining us next year, making the neighborhood beautiful.

** Gangs In Woodhaven – Recent reports (click here) indicated that gang activity is on the rise here in Queens (locally, the Woodhaven Mayans and G-FLY were indicated as being active). Are you seeing anything on YOUR block? Please, let us know. Your identity and privacy will be protected. Gang activity in Woodhaven is not new (click here for a sad reminder) and we must work together with the NYPD to stop it from spreading in our community.
