The Woodhaven Residents’ Block Association’s 2013 Journal

September 23, 2013

For each year’s celebration, the Woodhaven Residents’ Block Association puts together a journal celebrating the past year – and businesses who are supportive of the WRBA and the community of Woodhaven take out ads in our journal to show that support.

We always ask our residents to review this booklet and reward those businesses that have chosen to support our community by stopping into their stores and doing business with them.

Take a moment to let them know you saw their ad and thank them for their support.  The residents and the business owners are dependent on each other — businesses need a happy customer base and residents want a good, healthy shopping district to help keep the community thriving.  It’s good for the community when the business support the residents and vice-verse.

wrba-cover

The cover of this year’s journal reflects one of our greatest accomplishments in recent years, the work that we, as a community, performed in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.  Inside the journal you will also find a tribute to 2 members we lost over the past year, a tribute to each of our honorees and photo highlights from 2013.

CLICK HERE TO READ THIS YEAR’S JOURNAL — there are advertisements and articles inside — flip through it below and enjoy.

And if you are a business that would like to be in next year’s journal, email the WRBA at info@woodhaven-nyc.org or call us at 718-296-3735.  Each business will receive a framed certificate of appreciation that can be displayed inside their store, reinforcing to the residents of Woodhaven that they care about them.  And by placing it online and pushing it to our many members and followers on Facebook, Twitter, etc. we are making sure you get the maximum exposure for your sponsorship.
