** Building Collapse / Senior Center Update.  The big news in Woodhaven last week was the building collapse at 79th Street which damaged the Ambulance Corps.  Click here for pictures and video from that night, and then take a look at the aftermath by clicking here.  The Senior Center will reopen in a few weeks — in the meantime, they have worked out a plan to transport the seniors to Ozone Park.  Click here for details and share with any seniors that you know.

** Introducing the WRBA Royals!  The Woodhaven Residents’ Block Association is sponsoring a team again this year — and it is a T-Ball team named the Royals.  You are going to love them!  Click here for pictures and video and a complete schedule.  Now, we are still well short of the money needed to sponsor this team — so please consider chipping in a few bucks this Saturday if you haven’t done so.  Speaking of WORKS Little League, did you see the parade?  Click here for pictures and video for a Woodhaven tradition that has lasted for over half a century.

** Radio Free Woodhaven.  We’re on the air LIVE each Friday Night at 10 PM and we’ve been interviewing candidates for Queens Borough President.  Next up is State Senator Jose Peralta (click here to listen Friday at 10) followed by Councilman Leroy Comrie on April 26; Barry Grodenchik is slated for May 3; and Melinda Katz will join us on May 10.  You can find all our interviews here.
