Family Safety Event – Saturday June 4th – Forest Park 10 to 2

There will be a Family Safety event on Saturday, June 4th from 10 AM to 2 PM at the bandshell in Forest Park.  This event, coordinated with the 102nd Precinct and the NYPD is sponsored by Assemblyman Mike Miller.

At this free event, there will be

– VIN Etching
– Bike Etching
– “Safe Child” Photo I.D. Cards
– Bike Helmets Education and Distribution
– Child Safety Seat Check-ups (By appointment only / call 516 571 6808)

They will also be giving out different coded stickers you can use which helps the NYPD determine if your car is being stolen.  For instance, if you never drive your car between the hours of midnight and 5 AM, there is a special sticker which can be affixed to your car — and if the police spot that sticker between those hours, they can pull over the car.

VIN Etching and some of these other precautions can lower your insurance, and definitely increases your safety.  This event is FREE — please take advantage of it.
