Mini Crime Prevention Fair in Forest Park

As part of the 102nd Precinct’s ongoing crime prevention efforts in the community, the precinct will be hosting a Mini Crime Prevention Fair on Saturday, October 16 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Forest Park George Seuffert, Sr. Bandshell parking lot on Forest Park Drive just off Woodhaven Boulevard.

Weather permitting, the event will feature the New York City Police Department’s VIN Etching and bicycle registration programs. Community residents will also be able to register their vehicles in the Department’s Combat Auto Theft (CAT), Help End Auto Theft (HEAT) and Commuter CAT programs. These programs are a deterrent to thieves and participants may be eligible for a discount on their insurance.

All of these programs are being offered free of charge. For further information regarding this event, contact the 102nd Precinct’s Crime Prevention Officer Lee Petrovits at 718-805-3217.
