Woodhaven June Town Hall Location MOVED

by

Construction has begun on the bathrooms at the Woodhaven-Richmond Hill Volunteer Ambulance Corps.  This construction is necessary for the housing of the Senior Center, which is expected to open this September.  So, that’s the good news . . .

What this means, however, is that the Woodhaven Residents’ Block Association will not be able to hold our monthly meeting there this Wednesday evening (June 16).

Finding space on short notice is difficult, but the Emmanuel Church of Christ has graciously allowed us to hold our meeting in their hall free of charge.  They are located at the corner of Woodhaven Boulevard and 91st Avenue.  This is the big church near the bridge that crosses Atlantic Avenue.

You will enter on the 91st Avenue side — and the meeting will be up a short flight of stairs (around 9 steps).  This is the same location the Woodhaven Historical Society holds their meetings at.  The meeting begins at 8 PM.

If you can, please let all your friends and neighbors know.  Even if you know someone who wouldn’t attend — tell them anyway!  Maybe the new location will entice them 🙂

We hope to see you there!

Edward K. Wendell

President

Woodhaven Residents’ Block Association

PS A special “get well soon” to our friends at the Ambulance Corps. They have been very generous in letting us use their space for meetings — and we look forward to seeing how everything looks when it’s all renovated!
