The Movies Return to Woodhaven

Neir’s Tavern, along with the Woodhaven Residents’ Block Association and Project Woodhaven, will be holding monthly movie nights.  The movies will be shown at Neir’s, screened on their beautiful projector — and admission is free.  Just come on down and hang out with a bunch of friendly folks, watching a good film.  And we’re starting things up with a beloved classic — on Tuesday May 11th at 7:30 PM — 1942’s Casablanca.

The classic that spawned so many memorable movie lines —

  • “Here’s looking at you, kid”
  • “Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.”
  • “Round up the usual suspects.”
  • “We’ll always have Paris.”
  • “Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine.”

And, of course, it’s famous for one line that was never uttered in the movie — “Play it again, Sam.”  Come down May 11th and find out what they said instead.

The Woodhaven Movie Group will meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at historic Neir’s  Tavern.  Unless otherwise noted, the show will begin at 7:30 PM.
